GALENICA.ai, a US-Mozambican startup has developed a HealthBot (APOIO) for developing countries with high incidence of disease, weak health services and limited access to medical resources and facilities. GALENICA´s Vision is to see communities in developing countries, with access to timely, accurate, and actionable healthcare information and advice. Its focus is to leverage AI to facilitate access, disease monitoring, and healthcare advice for underserved urban and rural communities nationwide via mobile devices and dedicated health kiosks. APOIO leverages artificial intelligence to provide healthcare advice and assistance. It performs triage, vital signs measurement and healthcare data dissemination. APOIO’S data analysis and early warning systems allows healthcare agencies to develop optimum public health programs. APOIO has a fully functional prototype and it will be ready for release in Q4 2024.
