Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism leads the mandate to make Dubai a global centre for business, investment and tourism by supporting the evolution of the city through future-proof initiatives and economic programmes. Earlier this year, Dubai announced the D33 economic agenda that aims to double the city’s GDP over the next decade and make Dubai one of the top 3 economic cities in the world. As part of the plan, the city continues to champion new-economy businesses with the view of nurturing 30 unicorn companies in the next 10 years. Dubai DET is one of the lead entities driving this agenda and is showcasing Dubai’s cohesive ecosystem for tech and innovation at Viva Tech 2024
