Safe Zone: an open-source tool to prevent cyberbullying

Description

Younger generations spend a considerable amount of time gaming, which is why we have deployed a range of tools to protect them from cyberbullying on various major platforms, including Safe Zones. Seamlessly integrated into the gameplay of each platform, Safe Zones offer a series of questions and answers to tackle the inherent risks of immersive technologies in a playful way. A second feature enables victims or witnesses to alert a helpdesk and access support for cyberbullying. Launched on Fortnite at the end of 2022, Safe Zones have since welcomed more than 6 million visitors. Because we can’t fight cyberbullying alone, Orange is providing a whole suite of exclusive assets in various designs for free download on Sketchfab, so that game map artists can design Safe Zones into their games from the very beginning. Our latest feature, Safe Zone Phones, enable players to listen to messages about cyberbullying via interactive phones during their game or mission.
